The Healing Room

This is a great room with really good energy. Garen has put time and effort into this room and it shows.

The sound chamber consists of a load of chimes tunes to specific notes moutned on a 4-part frame. This is positioned around the massage table and as you lay there notes are played. The feeling is really weird. You can hear the notes and feel the energy buzzing through your body - a powerful experience for sure.

Time To Get Healed

I had to have a day off work today. On top of my stress leg issue my neck has gone into spasm and I cannot turn it left or right. This is always a sign of stress as I store stress in my shoulders. When this happens I call Garen Simmons - an alternative holistic healer. He can work wonders. Today he massaged my spine and used sound therapy. This is a combination of chimes and bells that resonate through your body. He then stuck a load of small accupuncture pins in my neck and finger.

The therapy lasts and hour - feels great and costs $75. The result - my neck is no longer in spasm after two days of agony and I feel refreshed and ready to take on the world. I will post some pictures of Garen's healing workshop in case you are interested.

Expat Work Permit Application Time

I am a British expatriate working and residing in Bermuda. I have lived here since 1989 (I only came fro one year), been married twice and have four kids, two here and two in England.

So, every three years I have to apply for the right to continue to live and work in Bermuda. If my applicaiton is denied I have to pack up my bags and go home (where is home now)??? almost immiediately. Needless to say, this time, every three years is a stressful period in my lifc. If a Bermudian applies for my job and is qulaified they are entitled to it (fair enough). Nobody has applied for my job so now it will be down to the Immigration Department to decide if I can stay. I would like to live here for three more years ---- so --we shall see.

You can see from my passport picture that I look great :)) (just kidding). The cool thing these days is that you can use your digital camera and Adobe or somesuch software to produce your own photos. No more trips into towm to sit in the photo machines.

So - in about 6-8 weeks I will know where my immediate future lies - come back and see what happened.

This is me on my old front porch Posted by Hello

First Entry

Well this is my first go at Blog. Always wanted an online journal for my own purposes. If anybody else happens to read this and find it interesting - all the better. The pimary goal is to create a record of my thought for future reference.

I choose Avatar-Journey as I happen to study belief systems and this is a big part of my (any everyone's life), this will be discussed in more detail as time goes by.

I am 37, live in Bermuda as an Enlish expatriate worker, married to Katrina (also English 34) and we have 2 kids (Jake 3.5) and Hannah (3 months). I also have two kids from my first marriage (Jasmin 13) and (Hayley 11).

I work as a salesman in a computer technology company that I used to own. I feep fit although right now I have a nasty ongoing injury. I can run but I love to play squash and I intend to start playing again this month after a 7 month lay off.

Other interests include - reading all types - meditating - playing online poker (loser) - currently learning Linux (not easy for a salesman) and Asterisk - working on belief systems - I am a Reiki Master - cooking - etc.

Looking forward to creating this journal and hopefully to interacting with interesting people as time goes by.
